Staff Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant to be located at our Chicago, IL office. This position is responsible for participation in all accounting & related systems on the gas side of the business. Activities may include, but are not limited to, monthly closing, operational cost reporting, cash management, budgeting & variance analysis, and the financial audit. The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for communication & coordination with holding company accounting, tax and budget areas. This position reports to a Lead Senior Accountant.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or the equivalent education/experience. One to five years of accounting experience and CPA or CMA is preferred. The successful candidate must be adaptable and flexible, have strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
