Our client, a global law firm, is currently searching for an experienced corporate paralegal for their downtown Chicago location. A successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in corporate law. This is not your typical paralegal role as this person will be working directly with the attorneys on their cases and will be very involved in all meetings and preparation. This will be great experience as the attorneys work in a number of different areas such as private equity, capital markets, and audits and the corporate paralegal will have their hand in a little bit of everything. Duties will include coordinating searches and filings with vendors, recorders’ offices, government agencies and other parties. Under the supervision of an attorney, draft, edit, conform and otherwise assist in the preparation of contracts and other legal documents and correspondence. Obtain services from outside contractors, including corporate services, research services, filing services, duplicating services, bindery services and printers. Act as liaison for the project team with support staff departments and other offices of the Firm, anticipating and assuming responsibility for special staffing needs such as overtime, clerical and/or notary.

This position requires strong customer service, excellent writing skills and time management. If you have two or more years of experience as a corporate paralegal, have superb communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, this may be a fit for you.
