Job Description Baxter's EDP is a 2 year technical training program focused on growing high potential, entry level talent who are passionate about technical design and saving lives, and who have the desire to strive to create innovative, quality products. This rotational program is designed to accelerate the member's development by exposing them to Baxter's technical businesses through a variety of critical assignments and targeted technical training. Members will graduate with the confidence and technical ability to create Baxter's next generation of products designed with the customer experience in mind.
The EDP members will have the opportunity to experience a range of engineering roles such as designing and improving products and processes, reducing costs, improving quality. These roles may be in areas such as new product design, modeling, material selection, quality, design for reliability, and product testing. Program members will also learn Baxter's design methodologies such as Critical Thinking, Design for Six Sigma and New Product Introduction utilizing the Baxter PDP process. EDP's will learn to work closely with other functions to integrate product designs for manufacturability, reliability and serviceability, providing optimal customer centric products for Baxter. Technical training classes and projects will help the member enhance their engineering core competencies. EDP members will combine their hands on experiences and in depth training with career mentoring, providing them with all the tools necessary to have a successful career in technology.
Job Requirements Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Computer Science, Software, Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical Engineering or equivalent); demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.0; ""Passion"" for Engineering with a desire for a career in technology; strong technical aptitude and an analytic approach to problem solving; intern or co-op experience in technical design related area; excellent interpersonal & communication skills; self confidence; team player with a drive for results.
