JOB SUMMARY: Manages an individual project team primarily on an SAP platform for medium to large projects and/or operates within a large program structure. Within a large project structure, manages day to day activities of multiple teams and multiple business sites including defining program plans, schedules and strategies. Position reports to and works with the program manager or program management office to assist in the development of the program/project methodologies and standards for deliverables. This position works within a peer group providing a consolidated picture of project status and activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day to day status meetings with project team also communicating status to key stakeholders. Working with project team, ensures that project deliverables are high quality. Working with program manager and/or PMO to identify risks and issues and ensures that risks and issues are mitigated and resolved. Working with project team, ensuring that project is following appropriate methodology and implementation approach. Ensure that project team metrics are produced on a timely basis. Mentor other project managers. Monitoring and controlling the project budget. Interacting and working with one or more outsourcing partner or integration partner.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Experience with SAP and SAP BW is required. Experience with BI reporting tools e.g. Qlikview, Cognos, Business Objects is a plus. PMI certification is required. Ability to carry out project management responsibilities such as weekly status meetings, weekly status reports and financial updates. Ability to effectively interact with employees, business users and consultants at multiple sites.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 4 years project management experience of managing a team of up to one hundred people and a dollar spend of 250,000 or greater is required. A minimum of 5-10 years of overall IT experience is also required. Experience working in a global setting e.g. India and with outsourced providers a plus Experience in healthcare and regulated environments a plus Bachelor s Degree required. Will consider commensurate experience.
