Baxter's BioScience division is a leading producer of both plasma-based and recombinant clotting factors for hemophilia, as well as biopharmaceuticals used to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and other blood-related disorders. Baxter also produces vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases, as well as biosurgery products used for hemostasis and tissue-sealing in surgery. Baxter BioScience's breadth and depth of expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing, plasma fractionation and proprietary Vero-cell vaccine manufacturing technologies set it apart from other companies in these fields.
We are seeking a Group Marketing Manager who will be part of the Global Hemophilia team that specializes in providing innovative recombinant and plasma-derived factor and inhibitor management therapies.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Develop and execute commercial strategies and tactics for Baxter's recombinant ADAMTS13 therapy. As the product lead, the GMM will support the Director in the development of the strategy, direction and opportunity assessment for ADAMTS13 within the acquired and hereditary market spaces
•Lead the commercialization efforts to support a best-in-class launch, including:
•Driving commercially desired target product profile and optimal product presentation and label for launch
•Building a Global brand including concept/category nomenclature development, Global segmentation, brand positioning, verbal and visual branding development and campaign development
•Leading, with Medical Affairs, the development of Global market shaping activities including communication strategy and messaging, publication plans, congress strategy and KOL development
•Working with Market Access to drive activities across the Regions to optimize opportunity and minimize reimbursement barriers
•Developing and executing coordinated geographic expansion process
•Ensuring internal launch readiness across the Global organization
Assist Director in evaluation of new opportunities, internal or external. The GMM will need to be able to effectively manage projects, and work cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Legal, Advocacy, Market Access, Communications and Regional marketing. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and creative problem solving are essential.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5-8 years in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry with four years of relevant marketing experience which may include a combination of sales, product management, brand management, medical marketing. Life Sciences BS or BA with an MBA or post- graduate degree in related field. Requires strong facilitation and communications skills as well as excellent organizational & project management skills. Experience working on upstream opportunity evaluation, medical marketing, life cycle management, global branding campaigns, managing advertising agencies preferred. Launch experience highly desired.
