Baxter's BioScience business is a leader in recombinant and plasma-based protein replacement therapies to treat hemophilia and other bleeding disorders; plasma-based therapies to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, burns and shock, and other chronic and acute blood-related conditions; biological products for hemostasis and sealing, adhesion reduction solution, and preparation/delivery devices; products and developmental technology used in adult stem-cell therapies; and vaccines. Baxter BioScience's breadth and depth of expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing, plasma fractionation and proprietary Vero-cell vaccine manufacturing technologies set it apart from other companies in these fields.
The BioScience business has established a new global Commercial Excellence team to identify, develop, and implement best-in-class marketing and sales processes in order to build functional excellence in marketing and sales for BioScience to consistently and successfully maximize the value of our brands and therapies. We are seeking a Group Marketing Manager to work across all BioScience commercial teams to define, lead and embed Marketing Excellence, contributing to the strategic vision and enabling promoted brands to exceed their growth targets. This individual, working in partnership with franchise, regional and country marketing leadership, will be responsible for:
•Developing, implementing and integrating best-in-class marketing management processes and tools into the commercial organization, with a specific focus on Launch Excellence
•Leading the development of a unified Global Launch Platform, including the development of a consistent New Product Planning process
•Leading cross-geography Marketing Excellence working teams focused on platform generation for priority needs of franchise, region and country marketing organizations
•Promoting Marketing Excellence platforms by serving as a network hub for Marketing knowledge, practice and consultancy to champion and model Marketing Excellence
•Developing tools and process for best practice sharing between global, region and country marketing teams; identifying and communicating Marketing successes and helping promote them across the franchises regions and countries.
•Refining and continuing to embed Marketing Powerhouse planning process across all franchises, regions and countries Baxter-wide by enhancing and expanding training program
•Developing and overseeing all aspects of a Marketing Training and Development program training with a specific focus on assessing and improving individual competencies and organizational capabilities aligned with Marketing Powerhouse
•Forging strong relationships and providing strategic advice and consultation to Global, Region and Country marketing and commercial excellence teams to develop and integrate marketing excellence capabilities and competencies
•Managing direct reports, consultants, or agencies engaged in the development and roll-out of individual processes and tools
• Developing benchmarking and KPIs for Marketing Excellence initiatives
Job Requirements
•BA or Masters degree in business or marketing
•Successful career to-date in pharmaceutical or consumer package goods industry commercial roles with significant expertise developed within strategic, marketing-focused roles.
•Experience managing brands across the product lifecycle, with launch experience of particular interest
•Minimum 12-15 years relevant marketing experience
•Thorough knowledge of marketing management techniques and tools
•Excellent marketing competencies with strong strategic & tactical skills
•Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving, project management and financial acumen skills
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Strong cultural awareness and adept at working cross functionally with a broad range of stakeholders
•Ability to challenge the status quo and drive quality outcomes through coaching and influencing skills
•Strong interpersonal leadership to align all businesses and functions towards marketing excellence
•Strong achievement orientation and innovative mindset
•Self-motivated individual with a strong bias for action and ability to adapt quickly to new or ambiguous situations
•Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
•Willing to travel approximately 25-30%
