This individual will also field phone calls/questions from the rest of the organization and provide exceptional customer service and support to the organization as a whole. The successful candidate will be a professional in this field, flexible and able to think on his/her toes, while proactively seeking ways to support the HR team with a "can do" attitude.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with candidate sourcing by posting for new/replacement positions on various sites and with applicable social media resources. * Preparation of various reports ancillary to the employee recruitment process. * Conduct new employee orientations, introducing employees to the overall mission and operations of GCFD, providing an explanation of benefit plans and enrollment and reviewing policies and procedures. * Prepare, maintain and keep current all GCFD Employee personnel files. * Oversee Temporary Agency personnel needs for the organization. Coordinate with Operations and other applicable departments to ensure on-going and seasonal workload needs are proactively planned for and addressed. * Establish and maintain productive and cost effective relationships with Temporary Employment Agencies. * Manage and administer the Vendor Relationships with which the Human Resources Department interfaces. Review all incoming invoices to ensure billed amount matches contract/quoted price. * Process all required documents and maintain all workers compensation records and files. * Support the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Analyst with assistance submitting applicable paperwork and extracting and preparing personnel reports for Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, Tuition Assistance and various Employee benefit programs. * Oversee and assist with the administration of various employee recognition programs and activities. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree * Strong/Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. * Attention to detail * Ability to multi-task * Ability to maintain confidentiality * Ability to handle stressful situations, always operating with a sense of urgency and using good judgment
