Advance your career at Liberty Mutual - A Fortune 100 Company! Liberty Mutual has an exciting opportunity in our Automobile Claims - Physical Damage operation. We are seeking individuals who are interested in launching and advancing their career an Auto Damage Appraiser. As an Auto Damage Appraiser you will complete appraisals of damaged vehicles to restore the vehicles to their pre-damage condition. Working hours are Monday - Friday between 8am - 7pm (shifts vary). In addition, will work 2 Saturdays/month and 1 Sunday/month between 9am - 6pm (shifts vary).
Responsibilities: * Prepare and submit appraisals indicating costs for parts, materials and labor necessary to restore vehicles to their pre-damaged condition. * Provide claims personnel with expert advise on vehicle repair, parts costs, garage expertise and opinion on whether specific damage is related to a particular accident. * Assist claims personnel in determining when a damaged vehicle should be classified as a total loss. * May assist in the training of staff and evaluation of staff, independent and Direct Repair Program shops. * Complete Direct Repair Programs re-inspections, supplements as warranted to verify damage or confirm repairs are completed. * Weekend availability required.
Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Extensive knowledge of automobile part and repair techniques. * Thorough understanding of automobile terminology and vehicle construction. * Knowledge of automated claims appraisal systems and overall claims operations. * 2 - 7 years of appraisal or related experience preferred. * Working hours are Monday - Friday between 8am - 7pm (shifts vary).
