Summary of Position Responsibility: The IT Director manages the IT systems and the IT department of the company. Provides support to end users and identifies, researches and resolves technical problems. Documents, tracks and monitors the requests to ensure a timely resolution. They have advanced knowledge of information technology concepts, practices, and procedures. Duties include network administration, project management, and maintenance and support of connectivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (please list no more than eight and include percentage of time):
- Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects. Includes clinical software systems
- Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security.
- Plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems; assists in coordinating special projects including network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, including coordination of web access to domain with outside vendor.
- Manages telecommunications equipment; coordinates the ordering and installation of telecommunications and data systems equipment and cabling; researches, analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves telecommunications related problems.
- develop, install, and maintain emergency systems to back up the main network server
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an internal Intranet.
- Documents departmental policies and procedures.
- Manages, recruits, and selects Helpdesk Specialist(s).
- Assists with on-call responsibility in information management.
- Other duties may be assigned or required for the performance of this position.
Requirements:
Non-essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts as primary back-up for HelpDesk Specialist job duties.
Education & Formal Training Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations Required:
None required; possession of a Network Administration Certificate is preferred. Microsoft Certified System Engineer preferred.
Job Experience Required:
-Over 5 years experience in Management of Network Administration and remote end user and helpdesk support
-Experience in all areas of local and wide area networks management and administration including system configuration, setup, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, and user support
-Experience installing and supporting Microsoft server technologies;
-Experience supporting telecommunications equipment.
-Experience in Crystal Reports and Sharepoint
