Kelly IT Resources is looking for Network Engineer - Voice / IT Infrastructure Engineer SUMMARY: CLient is looking for a highly motivated experienced IT infrastructure engineer to architect and manage the voice and data infrastructure of a growing enterprise with 70 world-wide offices and 5000 employees. Individual must be a self-starter who can lead projects and solve complex issues from start to finish with little supervision. The Voice Engineer VE will be a member of the IT Operations team and report to the IT Operations Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Architect, supervise and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting the corporate voice infrastructure. Ensure high availability of enterprise voice platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact. Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice infrastructure. Serve as one of the primary points of contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting. Participate in data network and systems administration tasks as needed by the Operations team. Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures. Mentor and educate Operations staff on the operation and configuration of client voice systems and networks. Perform all activities in keeping with established change management and approval procedures. Participate in the client's on-call schedule for off-hours support of key systems. Evaluate new technologies and platforms to determine their applicability to solving the business challenges and needs. Other special projects and technology initiatives as required. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years experience designing, implementing and maintaining voice-capable TCP/IP networks using Cisco or other enterprise-class equipment. Extensive knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, QOS, routing, switching and IP addressing. Understanding of carrier technologies including T1/E1/PRI, ISDN, MPLS, metro Ethernet and systems interconnectivity. Hands-on experience installing, managing, upgrading and troubleshooting enterprise-class voice systems specifically Cisco Voice technologies including Call Manager, Call Manager Express, and WebEx. Experience managing Cisco hardware including but not limited to ASA firewalls, Routers, L3 L2 switches, wireless controllers, etc. Design implementation of advanced voice technologies such as carrier SIP trunking. Experience with similar technologies including but not limited to Avaya, Asterisk, Lync, etc. Experience in a 24/7/365 work schedule environment. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrated efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to solve complex network challenges. Strong understanding of the organization s goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences. Highly self-motivated and directed. Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail.
