Currently, Kelly IT Resources in search of a
Sr. IT Project/Program Manager for one of our clients in downtown Chicago.
Note: This is a hands-on position
Responsible for overseeing delivery and quality control of clients's key Services group. Includes the direct management of Consultants, Senior Consultants and Technology Specialists. Able to act in a CTO capacity for managed services clients, working with our consultants to ensure we are building and maintaining stable, secure and scalable networks in our datacenter and offsite at client locations.
Data Center Administration • Directs and optimizes all the operation of servers, networks, and systems for datacenter and offsite ""internal"" client networks. Provides timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients.
• Lead the selection, implementation and maintenance of systems monitoring and tool sets, knows how and to what extent to deploy tools to improve operational performance, ensure proper data center capacity, reduce cost, and anticipate outages.
• Coordinates with other teams to identify and implement new systems to support business function at effective cost. Accountable for all data center services across the data center and client networks.
• Responsible for the direction of the entire computer operations area, while overseeing design, implementation and support of data center infrastructure. Understands data center best practices and determines organization standards in the areas of data center operations and services.
• Implementation of a data center consolidation roadmap which optimizes data center space with the goals of reduced cost, increased service, better capacity management, and possible use of external service providers and cloud services.
• Leverage external service providers and cloud services, including development of governance plans and service level agreements.
• Perform data center failover, high availability failover, and disaster recovery tests on a regular basis for all data centers and client networks.
Managed Services Oversight • Review and ongoing enhancement of Managed (recurring) Services offerings
• Managed Services documentation and training
• Oversight of new support agreement launches
• Review and oversight of monthly client reporting (IT management, operations, monitoring, etc.)
Daily Business Operations • Quality Assurance over all Managed Services clients and services including network management, business application management and hosting (cloud) services
• Direct daily involvement with strategic client relationships
• Ensure high customer satisfaction across client base
• Develop standards for technical solution best practices delivery and nurture its adoption throughout client base
• Develop and manage operational business plan (including both strategic and tactical objectives)
• Directly oversee Managed Services team (not including Managing Consultants)
• Daily schedule and utilization management
