Manager, Human Resources - Midwest Chicago (Sports Management/Operations)
Partner with the Regional HR Manager to manage the staffing, employee relations and compensation administration for a region. Partner with other Human Resources staff in understanding HR programs and those that may be in the works to then pass on to area of responsibility
Primary Responsibilities
Provide staffing support and ensure that stores and distribution center is within appropriate staffing levels.
Manage most employee relations for the region.
Provide employee relations support.
Implement and coordinate training activities.
Monitor and approve compensation within guidelines.
Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
2-3 years human resources experience in a single-unit retail environment with a generalist background.
Working knowledge of PCs.
Business knowledge as it relates to budgets, payroll, general administration, etc.
Strong recruiting and employee relations skills.
Knowledge of labor and employment laws in multiple states.
Ability to solve a wide range of complex, multi-disciplinary problems which must consider short and intermediate term company-wide planning.
Ability to compose sensitive, non-routine correspondence requiring tact and diplomacy and/or complex reports or summaries for which established formats generally do no exist.
Ability to deliver presentations regarding potentially controversial issues, which involves negotiation.
