Essential Functions Statement(s)




  • Use interpersonal and communication skills to generate referral business, leads, and relationships with individuals, existing clients and past clients, and Real Estate Professionals. 
  • Educate customers on the mortgage process, including but not limited to required documentation, rate quotes and lending options.
  • Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Correct inaccuracies, if any, and determine the correct loan options for the borrower based upon the applicant’s present situation, future plans, and preferred loan product.



  • Provide guidance and information relevant to the risks and benefits of each program the applicant is qualified for; effectively explain and communicate the terms of each product and ensure all documents necessary are provided to and/or signed by the borrower.
  • Conduct loan closings on refinance transactions. 
  • Maintain a working file for the office as required for compliance. 
  • Conduct all monthly reporting requirements as directed by bank policy; i.e., CRA, XSellerator referrals and sales and officer calls.
  • Perform effectively relative to policy compliance; documentation standards, and/or other loan administration matters.



  • Input applicant information into the loan origination software.
  • Process the loan data through an automated underwriting system and document the loan file according to the recommendation.
  • Gather all initial documentation required based upon the applicant's selected loan program and form 1003.  Provide the loan package to loan production for review and work with the production specialists to provide any letters of explanation, or additional documentation as necessary and required by underwriting to clear all conditions and close each loan.  
  • Comply with all regulatory and secondary market guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.

  • Make calls on customer and non-customers to develop new business and to enhance relationships with existing customers.
  • Participate in various professional associations and community activities to enhance the Bank’s image and to further personal development.
  • Develops good habits in customer relations, job knowledge/skills, and quality of work, staff relations, communication, attendance, punctuality, and appearance.
  • Perform the “Winning Play" for Sales Staff.
  • Completion of bank related training including but not limited to security, compliance, BSA and/or any training deemed necessary by your manager to effectively carry out basic job duties.

SKILLS & ABILITIES



Education : Associate’s Degree in a business-related field is preferred; Or





Experience : One to two years related experience



Computer Skills: 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Knowledge of automated underwriting systems and loan origination systems preferred.
