Job Description
•Payor Account Executive (Central Plains Region)
•Responsible for creating, maintaining and coordinating account activities and strategic relationships with managed care and Medicaid accounts within region.
•Implement activities pertaining to payer education, Project management, data analysis and dissemination, product differentiation, reimbursement, and coverage for BioScience North America.
•Educate & negotiate with commercial & government payers to establish appropriate coverage & payment levels for all BioScience therapies.
•Serve as regional specialist on public and private payors, and health care policy.
•Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, and analysis of health care and government policy support strategies, tactics, and programs.
•Secure, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with payer owned specialty pharmacy providers. Responsible for achieving sales quotas.
•Provide and/or coordinate product/ therapy specific educational programs to include clinical reviews, economic assessments, and product overviews.
•Facilitate programs to increase visibility of reimbursement and health policies to customers.
•Create and implement Medicaid priorities and strategies. Coordinate with GAPP and Reimbursement and Advocacy counterpart
Job Requirements
•BA or BS required, MS or MBA strongly preferred
•In-depth experience and understanding of Medicaid, commercial payer and managed care marketplace.
•Knowledge of PBM, specialty pharmacy and managed care contracting process. At least 3 years experience in specialty pharmacy negotiation and contracting.
•Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
•Able to create, coordinate and implement core strategic initiatives.
•Strong presentation and negotiating skills. Must have good organization and time management skills. Previous experience in dealing with managed care organizations and/or medical/biotechnology products. Demonstrated communication, motivational skills, and tact in dealing with customers. Highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, deal with complex issues, and relate to multiple stakeholders.
•Able to travel (50%).
