Job Description
Baxter's BioScience division is a leading producer of both plasma-based and recombinant clotting factors for hemophilia, as well as biopharmaceuticals used to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and other blood-related disorders. Baxter also produces vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases, as well as biosurgery products used for hemostasis and tissue-sealing in surgery. Payor Account Executives Responsibilities:
•Create, maintain, and coordinate account activities with managed care and Medicaid accounts within region
•Implement activities pertaining to payor education, data analysis and dissemination, product differentiation, reimbursement, and coverage for BioScience North America
•Serve as regional specialist on public and private payers, and health care policy
•Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, and analysis of health care and government policy support strategies, tactics, and programs
•Secure, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with payer owned specialty pharmacy providers. Responsible for achieving sales quotas
•Provide and/or coordinate product/ therapy specific educational programs to include clinical reviews, economic assessments, and product overviews
•Facilitate programs to increase visibility of reimbursement and health policies to customers
•Create and implement Medicaid priorities and strategies. Coordinate with GAPP and Advocacy counterpart.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
•BA or BS required, MS or MBA strongly preferred.
•In-depth (5 years or more) experience and understanding of Medicaid, commercial payer and managed care marketplace.
•Knowledge of PBM, specialty pharmacy and managed care contracting process.
•3 years experience in specialty pharmacy negotiation and contracting preferred.
•Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. Able to analyze and synthesize sales numbers.
•Able to create, coordinate and implement core strategic initiatives.
