Job Description
•Leads and/or participates on project teams as needed to accomplish project objectives and deliverables on-time.
•Participate in Key Project Deliverables/Activities such as: Risk Management, Requirements Development, Design Reviews and V&V.
•Provide leadership to the project team around areas of expertise including, but not limited to, software reliability, metrics, risk management, requirements management, change control, and software V&V.
•Provide subject matter expertise for the corporate Quality System and ensure training requirements are met.
•Evaluate and recommend techniques to improve procedures/processes.
•Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project and business objectives.
Job Requirements
•MUST HAVE a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a highly regulated industry such as FDA, functional safety, defense, aerospace, telecommunications, or nuclear.
•MUST HAVE 5-7 years of work experience within software product design & development or software product support with a BS in an engineering / scientific field.
•MUST HAVE the ability to influence and impact the activities of others without direct authority.
•MUST HAVE strong communication and leadership skills.
•MUST HAVE excellent problem solving skills and the ability to teach others.
•MUST HAVE in-depth understanding of risk management and functional safety.
•PREFERRED TO HAVE experience with software development and testing.
•PREFERRED TO HAVE an ASQ (CSQE, CQE), IEEE, PE, and/or Six Sigma certification.
•PREFERRED TO HAVE Medical Device knowledge.
•PREFERRED TO HAVE a thorough understanding of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process and/or IEEE's Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK).
•PREFERRED TO HAVE strong, results driven project management skills.
•PREFERRED TO HAVE experience with regulatory inspections and audits.
