Product Marketing Manager
The Product Marketing Manager position will be critical to growing Mattersight’s business and creating market demand by leading key go-to-market initiatives for its solutions and services in all aspects of messaging strategy and marketing mix optimization. Specifically, this role requires B-to-B expertise, marketing to enterprise organizations and applicable vertical industries. This role will help drive and assist in the definition and execution of marketing strategy and programs working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand and develop a competitive strategy for the marketplace.
Lead, develop and execute go-to-market planning and strategies to drive awareness and accelerate customer demand.
Develop solution/application definition, positioning and supporting messaging, including both internal training materials and client-facing materials, including collateral and website content.
Partner with product development and sales executives to create effective competitive positioning, messaging, education and differentiation.
Work with the New Applications team to plan, and execute solution launches.
Provide market and customer insight leadership to the product management team.
Manage analyst relations strategy and ongoing education efforts to this audience.
Participate in marketing activities and speak at events.
Research, understand and recommend partnership opportunities to extend reach of our solutions and drive revenue.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Expertise and a proven track record successfully marketing to businesses, enterprise organizations and/or vertical industry segments; managed/hosted service experience is a plus.
Proven program management and marketing skills.
Successful track record of leading successful go-to-market launches.
Experience in managing a wide range of projects with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with colleagues across different teams.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to drive project plans and meet short/long term deadlines.
Ability and willingness to travel to attend industry events
Previous Experience
Mattersight is seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience with at least 3 years experience in technology marketing along with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University. Experience and coursework of a quantitative or analytical nature is preferred. This can include, but is not limited to; Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology and Statistics.
