Key Overview:

Would you like to execute programs in the areas of Global Supply Chain/ Logistics for Baxter's global customers?
We're looking for a PMP-certified IT Project Manager, with demonstrated experience in Supply Chain/Logistics, who has:
• A proven track record in executing large scale Logistics projects within the Global Supply Chain function
• Managed projects in a matrixed organization, especially in the Supply Chain-Logistics and/or Healthcare fields
• Demonstrated successful execution capabilities in managing internal/external partners and resources
• Strong scope, resource , risk and project financials management skills
• Technical, hands-on"" proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle
• Excellent overall communication & presentations skills
• Experience in influencing and managing upwards to Supply Chain leadership and IT stakeholders.
• Constantly looks for opportunities to mentor or coach on project management principles and practices
• PMP certification (required)
Detailed Summary:

Project Manager I

The position is responsible for leading multiple concurrent projects of varying size within the Supply Chain logistics environment. Manage projects that support business objectives including service and productivity improvements and risk reduction through multiple existing technologies as well as new and evolving technologies. The PM builds and maintains collaborative relationships with all levels within the Supply Chain and IT organizations and supports efforts to gather business requirements and identify, evaluate, plan and execute technology solutions. Accountable for the quality and delivery of technology projects on time, on budget, and within scope. This role manages projects directly and has responsibility for coordinating all internal and external resources required for projects and may have a team of direct reports.
Essential Duties:

•Manage/lead all phases and aspects of project planning and implementation for the Logistics IT Supply Chain team.

•Build project plans and documentation including charters, business requirements, project plans including timelines, testing plans, training plans, and post-implementation support transition plans.

•Review project team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence standards/regulatory requirements.

•Interact with customers to understand their business and to anticipate IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge. Manage the customer relationship with business project sponsor.

•Support project capital and expense budget planning and execution as well as capital request creation.

•Provide direct supervision and mentoring of project team member's during the project. Provide project performance feedback to the team member's supervisor/manager

•Participate in the research, analysis, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services.

•Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

•Expert in project management/processes with proven track record in 1) delivering technical projects in a multi-tiered application/server environment and 2) managing multiple projects concurrently.

•Demonstrates understanding of the overall component parts of IT and how to navigate the organization to identify opportunities and resolve issues. Has appropriate expertise in core technologies that support business and is able to learn new technologies as required. Has extensive knowledge of policies, standards and procedures.

•Strong business orientation through solid knowledge of business with the ability to frame problems or needs from a business perspective and translate into technology solutions using the same language as business people.

•Effectively manage relationships within the business and IT. Apply effective interpersonal skills and work in a team based and matrix environment leading both technical and functional resources

•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization; understands appropriate communication requirements for a variety of situations and demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate information in non-technical terms

•Excellent problem solving and decision making skills with proven ability to assess impacts of decisions or changes and quickly comprehends implications of actions.

•Well-organized and rigorous in the prioritization of activities, issues and projects. Education / Experience

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent

•PMI certification as Project Manager Professional (PMP) preferred

•8+ years of systems experience including 3+ years of project leadership

•Managing projects in a validated environment a plus

•Supply Chain business experience a plus
