Schaeffler Group USA, an internationally known leader in the manufacture of ball and roller bearings, has an immediate opening for a Sales Engineer covering our Appleton Based, Northern Wisconsin territory.
The individual we seek will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing target customers and prospecting for new customers based on established sales strategies. Responsibilities also include the following:
Identify markets and product opportunities in the market.
Responsible for selling FAG, Barden and INA product lines.
Prepare a weekly and monthly call activity plan for review with regional manager.
Prepare monthly product forecast,
Expand customer base and increase business in target industries, at target accounts and of targeted products
Maintain and improve customer relations.
Maintain accurate reports and records as well as review order status and customer sales activity.
Promote and sell product through seminars, trade shows and direct customer contact.
Respond to customer inquiries and orders in a timely and professional manner.
Determine efficient use of service engineers and sell support.
Obtain data on new/existing applications where application engineering is required.
Become technically proficient in bearing application to be able to review and present proposals to customers.
Responsible for the execution of customer training.
Four (4) year College Degree in engineering or similar field with a minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably in industrial related products.
Knowledge of FAG, INA or Barden products and production methods is a plus.
