Peapod is an e-commerce grocery shopping/delivery service. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Ahold and a partner with Ahold USA supermarket companies. As our business continues to grow, so does our team. We are seeking a Senior Open Systems Administrator for our corporate office in Skokie, Illinois.

Responsibilities:
Install, manage and maintain UNIX and Open Systems operating systems and servers, and related hardware and software to ensure stable performance of Peapods systems
Keep Peapod and Peapod Web Center mission critical business systems up and running at 99.9percent planned availability and with great performance ratings, including website properties , , and and its associated web, application and database servers
Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, which will require close collaboration with Peapods software development and business analyst associates
Offer strategic input on systems architecture and design solutions
Play a front line role in performing system maintenance (mostly at off hours) and 24 x 7 on call system support as assigned in order to troubleshoot operating system, hardware, networking and other systems problems
