Baxter's BioScience division is a leading producer of both plasma-based and recombinant clotting factors for hemophilia, as well as biopharmaceuticals used to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and other blood-related disorders. Baxter also produces vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases, as well as biosurgery products used for homeostasis and tissue-sealing in surgery. Baxter BioScience's breadth and depth of expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing, plasma fractionation and proprietary Vero-cell vaccine manufacturing technologies set it apart from other companies in these fields.
We are looking for a Biotherapeutics Pulmonary Territory Business Manager who will be responsible for selling hospital based therapies for the Biotherapeutics Pulmonary sales team for the BioScience division. Aralast and Glassia are our product used to treat Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency (a1-antitrypsin deficiency, A1AD or Alpha-1) which is a genetic disorder. You will call on Pulmonologists to differentiate our products from our competitors. The Biotherapeutics Pulmonary Territory Business Manager will be responsible for:
Achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the Aralast and Glassia as well as other services.
Calling on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations.
Working with patients, patient organizations, clinicians, clinical organizations and channel participants to implement sales strategies.
Providing feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing programs, recommended products and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
Coordination with payor/reimbursement representatives to assist patients with the decision to utilize our therapy.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of successful relevant healthcare sales experience.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience with specialty therapy sales in a physician based sales model as well as experience managing a large territory.
Experience working with payers and/or reimbursements is desired.
Must have a valid driver's license.
