VP - Healthcare
Position will be responsible for underwriting healthcare real estate senior debt investments. Industry coverage will primarily focus on seniors housing (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Alzheimers Care, Continuing Care Retirement Communities) but could also cover Medical Office Buildings, Long Term Acute Care Hospitals, Behavioral and Transitional Care Facilities, etc. Position will require interaction with internal and external C-Level executives and a 10-20% travel requirement.
Underwriting activities will include detailed analysis of financial statements, comparable trade and valuation data, and local market research. Individual will prepare and present underwriting findings to the deal team and credit committee in the form of a credit approval request. The underwriter will manage a deal through the original structuring of a transaction, the due diligence process, internal approval, negotiation of legal documentation, closing, and syndication if required.
BS in Business Administration with an MBA (or equivalent experience) preferred.
-5+ years experience in commercial real estate or the healthcare field.
-Applicant should have extensive experience in financial modeling, preparing and presenting credit presentations, and a strong credit background
